Andrea Wu (she / her)
Focused on filling life with activities I enjoy and love doing, having the most fun, and living my best life! I work as a Developer Relations Engineer at Google - creating content like videos, blogs, and code samples as well as presenting at conferences to help developers build, manage, and grow apps with Firebase! In the past, I coded a lot more as a software engineer, and I’m very involved in mentoring, teaching, and speaking to students in historically underrepresented groups in tech. This semester, I’m stepping away from my work at Google to come teach this class full-time, and I’m really excited to be here! You can learn more about my career journey and how I live nomadically without a phone!
Fisk Teaching Assistants
Angel Adetula
Hi, my name is Angel and I am a junior majoring in Computer Science. I am excited to be your TA in this course because this was my favourite course at Fisk, and I hope to help you all have a great experience in it as well. I have completed two summer internships at Google and I am the outreach coordinator for the Fisk CS club. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or just for a casual chat!
Bibek Gaire
Hello there! I’m Bibek Gaire, and I’m an international student from Nepal. I’m currently a junior, and my main focus is Computer Science. I remember struggling a bit with CSCI 110 when I was a student, but fortunately, the teaching assistant (TA) in the class was a big help in clearing up my confusion. I totally get how you might be feeling, so don’t hesitate to ask me anything – seriously, no question is too small. I’m also a Career Peer Mentor at the Office of Career Planning and Development, which means I’m here to support you beyond just the classroom stuff. If you’ve got any questions, I’m here and ready to help. I’m really excited to be your TA for CSCI 110 – let’s make this learning journey awesome!
Frank Inyiama
Hello! I’m Frank, a Sophomore and a CS Major from Nigeria. I’m excited to be a TA for this course and I’m equally excited to help you learn the basics of CS. I took CSCI 110 last fall and it was an amazing experience! I hope it will be the same for you too. I look forward to working with everyone this Fall semester.
Google Teaching Assistants
Jake Shoudy (he / him)
Hi all! I’ve been at Google (in the Seattle office) ever since I graduated from the University of Washington in 2015. I’ve worked as a software engineer on Cloud UI widgets, Google Maps user generated content, and now Google Maps core data focused on buildings. However, the work I’m most proud of at Google is my time as the GIR at Fisk in 2022. I’m so excited to get the chance to connect with students again this year and help y’all master CS fundamentals.
